Halloween is nearly upon us and I sure do go through the purple, black, and orange cardstock this time of year! Here are a sampling of some of the Halloween cards I made for 2018...

"Fly My Pretties" Witchy Card... celebrating the "witch" in all of us with decorative paper, glitter paper, a variety of embellishment stickers and some gold Nuvo Glitter Drops.

Looking through my sticker stash I found a sticker of a lovely bride... but if you turn her just right the light turns her into a skeleton! Perfect for Halloween when fun frights are all around us. I also added some other stickers, decorative paper, and a border embossing to give this card lots of "fright".

Witchy Glam! This was a fun layered card to assemble. I made it using glitter paper, my Cricut Explore Air, and a variety of cardstock.

I made this card for our sweet toddler granddaughter. I wanted to give her lots to look at but not be too scary. Orange decorative paper for the card base, black glitter paper cut with a heart die, and a variety of friendly ghost stickers should brighten the day of our littlest trick-or-treater.

This card is fun because I incorporated Washi tape, folder embossing, die cutting,  hand tinting with Distress Inks, and stamping/heat embossing. One card can utilize many techniques.

Spooky Spiders! I used a spider web embossing folder on black decorative paper as the card base, I then gently sanded the embossing with fine sandpaper to bring out the webbing. On top of the embossed card base I added decorative embellishments and sequins.

Layering decorative papers gives the card a fun dimensional effect as well as adding a lot of interest.

A big part of the enjoyment of Halloween is the candy! This card was made using decorative paper, foam tape for dimension, and Nuvo Glitter Drops.

This card utilizes paper, ribbon, Washi tape, folder embossing, hand coloring with a black glitter pen, die cutting and decorative paper layers for added interest. Don't be shy about mixing things up!

Spooky pumpkin faces coming out of the night! I stamped/heat embossed this card using copper and silver embossing powders. The embellishments are Nuvo Glitter Drops.

Hearts aren't just for Valentines Day... witches need love, too! This card is made with black glitter paper, decorative paper, and sequins. The inside is decorated with the same "witchy" theme.

A spooky spider theme using various decorative paper, sequins, glitter paper and black heat embossing. Once again, I used layers for visual interest.

This paper craft is an 8" x 8" square design. Since I am giving this one to our friends in person, and not having to mail it, I had the luxury of making it larger. It is composed of nine layers of paper (I cut them out on my Cricut) and then glued one layer on top of the other for a dimensional effect. The greeting is written on the back (rather than folding open like a traditional card) in order to serve as both a card and as a Halloween decoration.

As always, I appreciate you taking the time to read my blog. If you have any questions on the techniques or supplies used in the making of these projects, or if you simply have a comment, please leave them for me in the comment section below. I always try to respond as soon as possible. Have a safe and happy Halloween!

Happy Paper Crafting,
