H2H Challenge - I Heart Us

Welcome to my blog, Paper Crafting With Rebecca!

Today I am creating a clean and simple (CAS) card that will fit well in the "I Heart Us" challenge. If you would like to see the rules, other entries in the challenge, or post an entry yourself, then click on

To meet this challenge I used paper from the Close To My Heart (CTMH) I Heart Us Paper Packet and some Thistle Cardstock (for the card base). I also pulled out my Clear Shimmer Brush and some Thistle ink. Although I used the Thistle ink to stamp the sentiment inside the card and a few hearts on the envelope, you could use any of the many colors found in this I Heart Us Paper Packet, or even black ink, in this card design.

The card base is A2 (4.25" x 11" folded in half). I then used my Photo Trimmer and my favorite Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors to cut out some of the pre-printed designs and strips from the patterned paper found in the I Heart Us paper packet. I arranged and then adhered the patterned strips to the card base with flat adhesive.

For the front pre-printed sentiment, I used my Corner Rounder to give this component a softer and more finished look, then I adhered it to the card using 3-D Foam Tape. I love how easy foam tape is to use and yet you get a "pop" to the card that looks great.

I cut out three of the pre-printed hearts from the I Heart Us paper packet and added them to the card using some of the 3-D Foam Dots. To give the hearts a little more pizzazz I used the shimmer brush on them.

As it would happen, I have a CTMH stamp set called "Happy Heart Sentiments" that was just perfect to stamp inside the card. I also stamped a few of the accompanying hearts found in this stamp set on the inside of the card and on the envelope.

And that is all there is to creating this CAS, yet cheerful, card! It is fun, easy, and ready to mail to that special person who makes my heart happy! I really love this I Heart Us Paper Packet because it has such a cheerful and playful air about it.
