You know that a February Color Dare is going to involve some green! I am up to the challenge, what about you? If you would like to see the rules or make an entry of your own, then click the link below...

Although the rules say this entry does not have to be a St. Patrick's Day card, I decided to go along that route. The card doesn't blatantly have a St. Patrick's Day card sentiment, but it being green and shamrocks I suppose one would get the idea...

To start with I cut out some shamrocks using my Cricut Cuttlebug and an assortment of green cardstock scraps. I cut one shamrock out of Gold Glitter Paper.

For the sentiment on the front of the card I used VersaMark and Gold Tinsel embossing powder on a die cut rectangle of green cardstock. The stamp is from a Close To My Heart stamp set, leave me a comment below if you are interested in how I earned it for free and I'll let you in on the secret!

Next I glued the shamrocks to a piece of cardstock cut to 3.75" x 5". You may notice I used an embossing folder on this piece of cardstock to add texture. The gold shamrock has more dimension and "pops" out from the card because I adhered it using 3-D Foam Tape.

I made my card base a top fold A2 (8.5" x 5.5" and then folded in half). After layering all the green layers to the card base I added some gold Nuvo Glitter Drops for added bling. You will observe that they appear white when first applied, but once dry they are clear drops encasing gold glitter.

For the inside of the card I used the Willow Ink on green cardstock. I also adhered another shamrock for interest.

That completes the card! You will see, as I mentioned above, that the Nuvo drops dried clear with gold glitter in the drop.

Please be sure to leave me any comments or questions below. I love hearing from you!

Happy Paper Crafting,
Rebecca
