Scrapbooking: Toddler Love Recipe

Welcome to my blog, Paper Crafting With Rebecca!

What a cold week we've had here! Mother Nature sent us a good covering of snow yesterday, but then the sun came out today and did a pretty thorough job of melting most of it away. When it is cold and dreary out I find that to be the perfect excuse to snuggle in and scrapbook for a bit. With this in mind I saw there is a Heart 2 Heart Challenge for February titled: Favorite Recipe and that was a theme right up my alley!

My mother enjoys cooking, I enjoy cooking, our daughter-in-love enjoys cooking... and our sweet toddler granddaughter enjoys cooking, too! This sweet baby girl loves helping in the kitchen when "real" food is being prepared and during playtime she loves to "pretend" cook in her mini kitchen. This makes for the perfect "Favorite Recipe" themed scrapbook page.

First I gathered a few supplies:

The cardstock is a sheet of Pixie from the Close To My Heart (CTMH) Heart Happy Coordinating Cardstock packet. The patterned paper is from  the now discontinued CTMH Gimme Some Sugar collection. I also used my CTMH Beautiful You stamp,  a CTMH 2" x 6.5" My Acrylix Block, some VersaMark watermark stamp ink, and some Ranger Silver Super Fine Embossing Powder.

Next I simply cut and arranged the various pieces to suit me. Using some 3-D Foam Dots I added some hearts I cut out using my Cricut Cuttlebug and a Thin Cut - Stitched Hearts die. Lastly, I stamped and heat embossed the "Beautiful You" sentiment, because I believe I have one of the most beautiful, sweet, loving granddaughters in the entire world!

I want to send a quick "thank you" to the Heart 2 Heart Challenge Design Team for choosing my Love Card as a January winner in the Stamped Backgrounds category and awarding me a H2H Blog Badge:

It made my day to see my name on the winners list, thank you! I enjoy entering my paper crafts in these H2H challenges and I would encourage others to enter, too.

As usual, thank you for reading my blog and know that I love hearing from you! If you have any questions regarding products used, suggestions for future projects, or comments about my blog then please leave them below.

Happy Paper Crafting,
Rebecca
