Sparkle & Shine

It's been awhile since I joined in on a Blog Hop... I need to fix that! To jump back into some blog hopping I have entered today's card in the:

Sparkle & Shine Technique Blog Hop

This blog hop is all about sparkle, so I pulled out some of my favorite CTMH items... shimmer pens and sequins! Continue reading to see the supplies and instructions for this sweet little card then, once you are done checking out my creation, head over to the next stop on the blog hop to see what Judy Faye has to share!

To start with I pulled out some Heather Cardstock and some White Daisy Cardstock. I cut a piece of the Heather cardstock to 11" x 4.25" and folded it in half to use as my card base.  I cut a piece of the White Daisy cardstock large enough to stamp my images on.

The images I used for this card are from the Rainbow Bridge stamp set. I stamped the images in heather and then used Clear Super Fine Embossing Powder to seal in the ink. I then cut out the images.

Using my CTMH Watercolor Pencils and a Small Round Waterbrush I added color to the stamped images.

Next I added some heavenly shimmer to the clouds and angel wings using my Clear Shimmer Brush. The little halos were given their own shine using the Gold Shimmer Brush. Lastly, to add a bit more sparkle, I included a few of the Crafty Loose Sequins.

I adhered all the parts together using my Tombow Permanent Adhesive and 3-D Foam Dots. I know the sparkle is difficult to see in the photos... but in person this card is darling.

It is so sad when a pet dies (I still miss my Blayde horribly) but I know that when I received words of comfort from my friends and family last year,  I truly appreciated that they cared and that they understood our Blayde wasn't "just a dog" but a valued member of our family. I hope this card helps someone get through those dark days of loss, too.
