Color Dare #450 - Inspiration Photo

Thank you for stopping into my blog Paper Crafting With Rebecca! I appreciate you visiting and I hope you find inspiration and useful paper crafting tips and ideas along the way. I am not sponsored by, nor an affiliate of, any of the products you see in today's blog... I'm not trying to sell you anything... I'm simply sharing this information for fun and informational purposes only.

It's been awhile since I entered a Color Dare so I thought I better get to it! Sometimes when I'm not sure what I want to create for the day I pop into a challenge or a dare (such as this one) to help get those creative ideas flowing. If you would like to enter the Color Dare (or see the rules I'm following) here is the link...

I needed to choose three colors inspired by this picture, so I chose Raspberry, Lemon, and Carolina (all inks from Close To My Heart).

Then I created a card base using white cardstock. The measurements are 6" x 8" scored in the middle thus creating a top fold card 6" x 4".

From here I blended the three colors onto the front of the card base. I think my ink blending looks a lot like the peacock's tail! Next I die cut a lace-like pattern into a piece of 6" x 4" white cardstock (the die is from Crafter's Companion). Do you see where I am going with this?

Before adhering the lace-like piece of cardstock to the front of the card I attached some white iridescent ribbon the top of the lace pattern. I love this ribbon! I don't remember where I bought it (probably either Michael's or Dollar Tree).

I then attached the lace-like piece to the top of my card base. From here it was just a matter of creating a bow from the same ribbon (attaching it with Glue Dots) and adding my sentiment (raised up on foam tape). The card was not difficult to create but I love the cheerful feminine feeling to it.

Thank you again for stopping into my blog. I always appreciate and enjoy reading the comments below so please do leave me one!

Happy Paper Crafting,
