Card: Congratulations On Your New Home

Welcome to my blog Paper Crafting With Rebecca ! Spring is in the air and all around me I am seeing pink and white blossoms in the trees. I love how the petals drift to the ground and flutter about with the slightest breeze... like tiny pink butterflies dancing in the sunshine only to once again land softly on the newly greening grass. Hence my inspiration for today's card. Here are some of the components I used in my card "recipe" but of course you could modify the design and use whatever supplies you currently have. Paper : White Daisy Cardstock and some pink patterned paper from my stash. Ink : Blossom by Close To My Heart Stamp : Many Congratulations (C1693 by Close To My Heart) Tools : Cricut Cuttlebug, butterfly die, Clear Super Fine Embossing Powder, Craft Heater, and pearl embellishments from my stash. 1. Welcome to my blog Paper Crafting With Rebecca ! Winter is hanging on this year and keeping me in the house! I don't mind, as I seem to have lots to keep me busy inside, but I decided it was time to make something bright and cheery to balance out the grey skies outside. You could use any bright papers to contrast with the white of this card, and you could use different embossing folders... but here is what I used: Stamp : Happy Heart Embossing Folders : Happy Thought Z3249 from CTMH and Cricut Moroccan Screen . Cardstock : White Daisy Cardstock, Ruby Cardstock cut to 4.25" x 11", Lemon Cardstock cut to 4" x 5.25" and a decorative paper out of my stash cut to 3.75" x 2.5". (Note: I originally planned on using a piece of Pixie Cardstock, but ended up cutting another piece out of the Lemon Cardstock for the final version of the design.) Ink : Ruby Extras : Clear Super Fine Embossing Powder, Basic Banners Dies, Angel Crafts 1/4"

It is a three day experience getting there and a three day trip getting home. I left on the Amtrak on a Wednesday and arrived to their house on Friday. I prefer taking the train over flying, but it does take longer to get there and back again. However, the middle part (the visit) makes it all worth it! Not only did I have a lovely visit with my parents, but my mother is an amazing cook... there was so much good food! I wish you could all taste her gooseberry pie and her lemon meringue pie (and so much more)! Yum! As soon as I got home we celebrated Easter, then my hubby had his cataract removal surgery. Everything is going well with the recovery, and now (after yesterday's eye doctor visit) I am only having to put eyedrops in his eyes three times per day, and next week we can drop it down to two applications per
