#1 DFG RGV TX Team Fundraiser

Image
Welcome to my blog Paper Crafting With Rebecca!  Today is a different sort of blog entry because, instead of highlighting a paper craft, today it is all about helping a fantastic team of people who work tirelessly to help young women around the world. This blog is the first one in a four part series about the Days For Girls Rio Grande Valley Texas Team and the selfless work they do which impacts and empowers young women internationally. In this blog series you will learn about what Days For Girls  is and what they do (Blog #1), more about the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) Texas Team (Blog #2), what a DFG "kit" is (Blog #3), and how to get involved with a DFG team near you (Blog #4). This blog series will also have ways you can help us today to support this team and the work they do. In addition, because I want it to be even more fun, there will be prize drawings involved! Days For Girls: What is Days For Girls (DFG)? DFG works with volunteers from around the world

Color Dare #334 For my three colors I chose Lagoon , Peach , and Gold . I am using white as my neutral color. To start with I gathered some supplies. I pulled out my Peach Ink, Lagoon Ink, a water brush, and some Picture My Life Watercolor Cards - Gold. I started by brushing some clear water over the chosen watercolor card. Next I blotted some of the Lagoon ink onto my All-Purpose Mat straight from the ink pad. Using my water brush I picked up some of the color and let it organically flow onto my watercolor card. I then wiped my mat with a b

Thank you for your support. Color Dare time once again! If you would like to play along, see the rules, or other entries then click the link below the color choices. This time is a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge with the following palette: Color Dare #333 I chose to use the middle row: White Daisy, Candy Apple, and Mint. I also used some Candy Apple Ink and my Bonding Memories Broad Tip Glue Pen to assemble the card. I got the design and SVG file for free from  Dreaming Tree . This card is so simple to make, but I love the "wow" factor! It looks deceptively low-key from the front... but then you open it and that "Thank You" pops up! The first step was to cut out all the pieces on my Cricut Explore Air. This is a simple step, just load the pap

Thank you for your support. March is a busy month of card making for me! So many of the people in my life have March birthdays so I stay busy/happy playing with ink, paper and adhesive in my studio. So much fun! Here are a few paper crafting projects I have been playing with that you might enjoy seeing... It was fun to make a delightfully silly card for our sweet toddler granddaughter, complete with squishy padded animal stickers and google eyes! Simple, but perfect for a two year old. I made a birthday spinner card to brighten the day of one of my friend's! Sadly, our dear friend's cat crossed the Rainbow Bridge, so an Angel Kitty card was in order. I couldn't help it, I had to remind him he turned 33 this year! Time

Thank you for your support. You know that a February Color Dare is going to involve some green! I am up to the challenge, what about you? If you would like to see the rules or make an entry of your own, then click the link below... Color Dare #332 Link Although the rules say this entry does not have to be a St. Patrick's Day card, I decided to go along that route. The card doesn't blatantly have a St. Patrick's Day card sentiment, but it being green and shamrocks I suppose one would get the idea... To start with I cut out some shamrocks using my  Cricut Cuttlebug  and an assortment of green cardstock scraps. I cut one shamrock out of  Gold Glitter Paper . For the sentiment on the front of the card I used  VersaMark  and  Gold Tinse
