Color Dare #330 - I Heart Us

Welcome to my blog,  Paper Crafting With Rebecca! It is time for another Color Dare! I really love doing these because it challenges me to put colors together that I might not normally think of combining. Today's dare is a Tic-Tac-Toe. If you would like to see the rules or join in on the Color Dare, please click the link below. Color Dare #330 I chose to use the bottom row - Thistle , Sweet Leaf , and Lagoon . For my neutrals I will use white, black and kraft. First I pulled out my inks pictured above as well as Black and Desert Sand (basically "Kraft" colored). I happen to have these colors in the mini-pads so I am using those today. However, you can buy the regular size of Close To My Heart (CTMH) Lagoon, Sweet Leaf, Thistle, and Black inks. As a substitute for Desert Sand you can now buy Toffee ink which is a good neutral and coordinates well with Kraft paper. I also gathered together a sheet of White Daisy cardstock, a piece of Black cardstock

H2H Challenge - Invitation Only

Welcome to my blog,  Paper Crafting With Rebecca! There is something about receiving a handmade invitation to an event that causes me to feel so warm and welcomed. For someone to take the time and effort to not only host/hostess an event, but to also make the invitations by hand... well, it simply warms my heart and causes me to want to attend whatever it is I am being invited to! This H2H challenge theme is all about invitations... creating an invitation to an event or creating a card or item to take to something you have been invited to. If you would like to see the rules or join in on the challenge, click the link below. H2H Invitation Only Challenge Generally, when I send out invitations it is to more than one person/couple so I decided to create a set of invitations for this challenge. Even when making sets, however, I want each one to be slightly different so that the recipient receives a piece of paper art that is unlike any other. Sometimes that can be a

H2H Challenge - I Heart Us

Welcome to my blog,  Paper Crafting With Rebecca! Today I am creating a clean and simple (CAS) card that will fit well in the "I Heart Us" challenge. If you would like to see the rules, other entries in the challenge, or post an entry yourself, then click on this →  I Heart Us H2H Challenge  ← link. To meet this challenge I used paper from the Close To My Heart (CTMH) I Heart Us Paper Packet and some Thistle Cardstock (for the card base). I also pulled out my Clear Shimmer Brush and some Thistle ink. Although I used the Thistle ink to stamp the sentiment inside the card and a few hearts on the envelope, you could use any of the many colors found in this I Heart Us Paper Packet, or even black ink, in this card design. The card base is A2 (4.25" x 11" folded in half). I then used my Photo Trimmer and my favorite Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors to cut out some of the pre-printed designs and strips from the patterned paper found in the I Heart Us paper pac
