Fun Smearing Stickles on Cards

Thank you for your support. I wanted to make a brief video showing some of the uses of Stickles  (aside from the more commonly seen embellishment "dots"). This video and blog entry is NOT sponsored by Stickles (they probably don't even know I exist)... I simply created this information to help inspire you to play with supplies you probably already own in a fun new way. Here is the video... let me know what you think! Here are a couple of shots of the completed card to make it easier for you to see the various uses. This shows the "smear" technique as a background. For this card you will see that I used the "smear" technique to create my own glitter paper to die cut (the sun and the cloud) and I also used the Stick

Let’s Be Honest

This blog is my raw and honest opinion about my experience as an Independent Consultant for Close To My Heart. The opinions in this blog entry are mine and mine alone and in no way is this entry meant as a negative comment about Close To My Heart or other Independent Consultants. Big news... after just under a year of being an Independent Consultant (IC) for Close To My Heart (CTMH) I’m “throwing in the towel”. It’s not because I don’t love CTMH products but, if I am honest, I guess I’m just not very good at the whole multilevel marketing gig. I signed up to be a CTMH IC because I wanted to purchase the products at the consultant price, I wanted to earn free products, and I was hoping I would make some new paper crafting friends. I also had hoped that I might even make a few sales each quarter to help supplement my household income. In order to maintain my IC status I was required to reach a set sales goal every quarter. As much as I would have liked to meet my quarterly s

Thank you for your support. Do you own a Cricut Explore Air, Silhouette, Sizzix, Brother ScanNCut, or any Sure Cuts A Lot compatible machine? If you do then you will definitely want to check out all the SVG files (many of them FREE) at Dreaming Tree! If you know me, you know I won't recommend something I don't use or don't like... that is not a problem with Dreaming Tree... I love their SVG files! I have cut out Dreaming Tree SVG files on both my Cricut Explore Air and on my Brother ScanNCut. They are easy to download, cut, and put together. The artistry is of the highest quality and each product includes free access to the Assembly Videos where Leo Kowal walks you through the process of putting your project together.  The picture at th

Welcome to my blog,  Paper Crafting With Rebecca!  In order to maintain this blog, this page may contain affiliate links and I will be compensated (at no added cost to you) if you make a purchase after clicking my links. Thank you for your support. Valentine's Day 2020 is just around the corner, so I decided it was time to play with hearts and flowers and see what I could do to for this celebratory day of love. I started by pulling out a variety of patterned paper and a few dies. Here are a couple of cards I came up with and I hope they inspire you to get ready for Valentine's Day! To start with, I love seeing pink and black together... such a fun combination! I cut the "love" out of black glitter paper using a die (the picture doesn't show up the glitter too much but in person it is has lots of sparkle.) For a little extra bling I used Nuvo Crystal Drops  to draw the eye from the top left corner to the bottom right corner. The birds are also cut out

Color Dare #375 - Blue Monochromatic

Welcome to my blog,  Paper Crafting With Rebecca! Another year is upon us and I don't know where 2019 went! What a busy year full of so many emotions. I am hopeful that 2020 will bring us all a calmer, more tolerant and peaceful year worldwide. This Color Dare is all about "blue". Today, here in Staunton, it is snowing and gray outside, so working with a cheery blue is a welcome diversion. If you don't know what a "Color Dare" is, or if you would like to join in, then please click this link →  Color My Heart Color Dare Home Page  for more information. Color Dare #375 I've decided to enter a scrapbook page into this particular Color Dare. I delight in making layouts for the many pictures I take so creating a blue layout on such a snowy day seems like the perfect plan! As it turned out, this is a picture our children took and sent us of our little granddaughter's first experience at a circus. This picture was taken in a very blueish

Hunting For Craft Supplies: Have You Looked Here?

Image
Welcome to my blog,  Paper Crafting With Rebecca! I recently received an email from another paper crafter who was lamenting that there were no craft stores in her home town and, although she likes to shop online for craft supplies, she misses being able to "touch and compare" supplies in person. Her email caused me to think... like her, I don't have a "craft store" in my town either... but I always seem to find craft supplies all around me. So I decided to make a video about that! Watch my video (below) and let me know what you think in the comment section below! Happy Paper Crafting, Rebecca Disclosure Page
