Color Dare #359 - Color of Love Palette

Welcome to my blog, Paper Crafting With Rebecca!

Today I am entering a card in the Color Dare Challenge. Here is the link if you would like to learn more about the challenge:

The colors I chose for this dare are Linen, Peach, a spattering of Goldrush, and a touch of Sage. I chose these colors because I love how they combine (and I had some paper scraps to use from the CTMH Sweet Girl collection that also included some of those colors). Here are a few picture and a description of the process I used to create this card.

First I pulled a few supplies together: Peach Exclusive Ink, Goldrush Exclusive Ink, Linen Cardstock, and the Every Little Thing Cardmaking Stamp + Thin Cuts.

I started by ink blending on a scrap piece of White Daisy Cardstock with the Peach ink.

Then, using my waterbrush I splattered the Goldrush ink over the Peach blended ink.

It doesn't look like much now, but it gets better...

Using VersaMark Ink I stamped, embossed, and die cut the design.

I then did the same with the sentiment onto the Linen cardstock.

Next I used the Flower Garden Embossing Folder to emboss a 4" x 5.25" piece of the Linen cardstock. (My lighting makes it look a tad dark... sorry about that.)

The next step was to use some Tombow Permanent Adhesive to attach the Peach piece to a Sage strip, then attach both pieces to the embossed piece.

Lastly, I attached the embossed piece to a white card and added a touch of embellishment (sequins).

That completes my card for this color dare. I hope you enjoyed seeing the process. Please leave me any suggestions, comments or questions below because (as I've said before) I love hearing from you!

Happy Paper Crafting!
Rebecca
