Dollar Tree Doily Ideas for Cards and Scrapbook Layouts

Isn't it fun when you find a deal... such as 32 assorted sizes of paper doilies in a pack for only a dollar at the Dollar Tree! Here is a video I created demonstrating some techniques for incorporating doilies into your project to add texture, color, and dimension to your paper crafting projects.

What do you think about those ideas? Do you already use doilies in your paper crafting projects? Please share with me what projects you like to use doilies for in the comment section below.

Here are some close-up shots of the projects so you can see them better...

Utilizing a doily in the most basic way.

Again, a simple use of the doily, but it adds so much to this scrapbook layout!

Dressing a paper doll for the project.

Stenciling with a doily.

This makes a perfect background for these kitties!

Not much of the background shows on this one... but it's there!

Here is the one I demonstrated in the video!

Some cards simply need a ruffle!

By the way... at the time of the publication of this blog Close to my Heart has the Christmas Paper Doll Stamp + Thin Cuts (Z4053) on clearance (no guarantee as to how long this deal will last). You will also find the White & Gold Ribbon (Z3189) on clearance right now, too!

I hope you enjoyed this quick video. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Happy Paper Crafting,
