"Prime Days" Paper Crafting Haul & Tips

Welcome to my blog, Paper Crafting With Rebecca!

Amazon Prime Day 2020 has come and gone and I thought it would be fun to share some of the paper crafting goodies I picked up at fantastic prices! I am NOT an affiliate of Amazon. I simply enjoyed finding these goodies and want you to see what I bought. First... you will want to watch this video because I talk about the things I bought, give some tips on using them, and provide a card making demonstration...

Let's look at some of the cards and supplies I used in more detail. If you have any questions about any supplies not mentioned here be sure to leave me a message in the comments below.

The first item I discussed in the video was the Shuttle Art 120 Unique Colors Gel Pens . I love how these pens move on the paper. Note: When using a new gel pen that has never been used before start it out on a piece of scratch paper until it establishes a flow. If it seems like it isn't going to work, lightly tap it straight up and down on the scratch paper three times, then try again. Once it starts flowing it should work great for you and you can then color/write to your heart's content!

The stamp set I used in the video is the With All My Love - October Stamp of the Month by Close to My Heart.

The ink I used is the Intense Black Exclusive Inks. I like using this ink when I want to color
the design because it is a solvent-based, acid-free permanent ink that is waterproof,
fade resistant, fast-drying and archival. It's ideal for stamping images to color with
watercolor paints, or water- and alcohol-based markers or (as you see here) gel pens!

Here are the two cards I presented in the video colored with these gel pens.

Gel pens show up so nicely on Kraft Paper . I also
added some extra sparkle using Stickles Glitter Glue.

Here I colored on White Daisy cardstock with the gel pens.
The sequins are from the Crafty Loose Sequins collection.

The next goodie I shared was my favorite Angel Crafts Acid-Free Double Sided Tape . I use both the 0.5" and the 0.25" and it has always worked great for me!

Now let's talk about that amazing The Antiquarian Sticker Book with over 1,000 high-quality beautiful Victorian style stickers! I am going to have so much fun with this!

The Antiquarian Sticker Book

There are stickers in this hardcover book perfect for card making, scrapbooking, journals... and so much more. I haven't pulled out any yet (I just received the book two days ago) but I have enjoyed browsing through this book, page by page, and admiring the beautiful artwork!

Lastly, I shared my tip for die cutting designs for your cards using Blank Shipping Labels .

Note: This is not two-sided adhesive paper. One side is sticky, the other
side is paper (perfect for stamping on, ink-blending, etc.)

Here is the Halloween card I made in the video demonstrating how I use these blank shipping labels.

I used a Gold Shimmer Brush around the edge of the card base to add a bit of sparkle.

I hope you found this video both fun and useful! If you had any great finds on Amazon during Prime Days let me know in the comments below...

Happy Paper Crafting
