Christmas Stamp with a Twist!

Welcome to my blog, Paper Crafting With Rebecca!

I'm part of a CTMH Twisted Sisters YouTube Hop this month. You can find a list of participants in my video description... so sit back, enjoy my quick little video!

Here are some close-ups of the projects in the video (and the supplies I used) if you want to learn more...

My "twist" was to use the Christmas themed Merry Borders (D1980) stamp set all year long!

Of course, this stamp set does make a lovely Christmas card!

This is an A2 sized card. Supplies included: Kraft Paper, and Exclusive Inks in Candy Apple, Evergreen, Julep, and Toffee. The sequins are from the Julep Loose Sequins collection.

But this stamp set can also be used for so many other projects, too!

I cut this card out to be an A2 sized card, too. I used White Daisy cardstock to create the card base and then ink blended the base and border stamped using Exclusive Inks in Bluebird, Sapphire, Carolina and Lagoon. By the way... the background paper I used for the photo is from the Mix-in Paper Packet (X9021).

Here I used the Merry Borders stamp set to create a masculine birthday card.

Again, this is an A2 sized card. I used Kraft Paper for the card base. Exclusive Inks included: Toffee, Pewter, Pebble, and retired Espresso. Again, do you see that background paper from the Mix-in Paper Packet (X9021) peaking out behind the card?

Here is a lovely thank you card, using that same stamp set!

The color change gives it an entirely new feel! The Exclusive Inks used for this design are: Wisteria, Lilac, Thistle and Sangria. I also added some Diamond Stickles for some touches of sparkle.

How about using a Christmas stamp for Mother's Day!? Yes! It can be done!

The Exclusive Inks on this one are: Raspberry, Peach and Pewter (I only stamped three of the layers on this card. (Look there is another piece of the patterned paper from the Mix-in Paper Packet (X9021) hanging out behind that card!)

Here is that 8.5" x 11" scrapbook page I am working on using that same stamp set! It isn't finished yet, but you get the idea.

So the ultimate challenge (or twist) would be to see if I could use this stamp set titled Merry Borders to create a sympathy card!

Yes! It can be done!

For supplies I pulled out my: White Daisy cardstock, my anti-static pouch, embossing powders (black,  Princess Gold, Rose Gold, and Silver) and my VersaMark Ink Pad. I had black glitter tape in my stash but I could have just as easily used Black Shimmer Trim or any other ribbons or tapes. The sentiment is from my Rainbow Bridge stamp set.

So that is the fun of "twisting" the use of the Merry Borders stamp set into use for year around. If you enjoyed my video be sure to "hop" on over to the next on the CTMH Twisted Sisters YouTube Hop list (Rene Stewart Price) to see what other "twists" there are out there!

As always, I love reading your comments, questions, and suggestions... just leave them for me below!

Happy Paper Crafting,
Rebecca
