Playing With Alcohol Inks

Welcome to Paper Crafting With Rebecca! I create this blog in order to inspire, teach, and connect with other paper crafters. I am NOT sponsored by (nor an affiliate of) any of the products I used in today's blog entry. I'm not selling anything. This is all simply for fun and information.

Have you ever played with alcohol inks? They are such a fun medium to create with. Today I made a very short video showing one of many ideas using alcohol inks. Here is that video...

It is so fun to play with alcohol inks and I hope I inspired you to give it a try (if you've not done so already) or perhaps pull out your inks and get busy creating with them! Sometimes we put our art supplies away and forget to create with them, but it is always fun to rediscover them and create something new.

I love creating backgrounds for cards this way. I tend to not add a lot to the front of the card because I don't want to distract from the beautiful colors and airiness of the inks. Here are some pictures of what I created in the video...

So far all I've done with the backgrounds here is
die cut them using various dies out of my stash.

Once die cut I stamped it with VersaMark and used
silver heat embossing powder on this one.

Here is another view so you
can see the silver words better.

This is the background you watched me create
in the video and then I mounted it on Kraft card.

Again, I kept it simple, using only some VersaMark
and Rose Gold heat embossing powder for the sentiment stamp.

I hope you enjoyed today's little blog entry. Be sure to leave me any suggestions, comments or questions in the comment section!

Happy Paper Crafting,
Rebecca
