One Last Look at Fall Before Diving Into Christmas!

Welcome to Paper Crafting With Rebecca! I am so happy you stopped into my little blog. I hope you find the information here fun, informative, and inspirational. I am not selling anything. I am not sponsored by (nor an affiliate of) any of the products used or companies mentioned in my blog or videos. I simply create this blog (and videos) because I love meeting new people and connecting with others in the paper crafting community.

Fall is quickly being replaced with Christmas crafting but before it is gone I wanted to share these few cards with you. First, let's do a video flip through then I will put some details with the photos below...

Are you now inspired to finish up that autumn crafting? Let's look at some details of some of the cards...

This card was created by simply trimming up the "cut out" from a pad of fall paper, then I added an assortment of Nuvo glitter drops smeared onto the matching colors. I also used a shimmer pen on parts of it (like the cup and the lid of the pumpkin spice cup). Lastly I added some tiny flat back gems (they are actually leftovers from a Diamond Dot painting kit) scattered over the page for added dimension and color. I attached this piece onto a piece of 10" x 7" Kraft cardstock I folded in half to create a 5" x 7" card base. You may notice that I embossed the front of the card base and added some ink blending to it before attaching the top piece.

This card is another cut out from a pad of fall paper. Again I used Nuvo glitter drops and a shimmer pen to add glitter and shimmer to the card. I also added some of those tiny flat back gems on this card, too! The card base is once again a piece of 10" x 7" Kraft cardstock I folded in half to create a 5" x 7" card base. I then stenciled the top of the cardstock for added interest. Lastly, you might notice that the cut out is 3.75" x 5.5" matted onto a solid green piece of cardstock cut to 4" x 5.75" and those cuts were all made using my deckle trimmer.

Ok... I know this card wasn't in my video, but I made it for our granddaughter and thought you might like to see it, too. Again the card base is a piece of 10" x 7" Kraft cardstock I folded in half to create a 5" x 7" card base. And once again, I then stenciled the top of the cardstock for added interest, this time with a tree stencil and some flower stencils. I then used some cardstock cutouts I bought at Dollar Tree and added some clear Nuvo drops to the character's eyes and noses for dimension. Lastly I added some sequins for sparkle (because what 5 year old girl doesn't love a little sparkle in her life)!

Again, this card was created by simply cutting out the "cut out" from a pad of fall paper and then adding some some leaf sequins, Stickles, and a piece of bakers twine. The card base is a piece of 10" x 7" Kraft cardstock I folded in half for a 5" x 7" card. I used my deckle trimmer (but you could use a regular trimmer). The cut out is 3.75" x 5.5" and the mat is 4.25" x 6".

Lastly, here is the simple little card I made for our baby grandson. He is too little to read the card, or understand the concept of a card... but he likes looking at bright colors, shapes, and faces... so perhaps this bear and bright pumpkins will do the trick! The card base is a piece of 10" x 7" Kraft cardstock I folded in half for a 5" x 7" card and then I embossed it with a wood-like embossing folder that I smeared ink over in order to bring out the wood texture. The bear, flower, sentiment, and pumpkins are from a cardstock cutout from Dollar Tree. I embellished the pumpkins and sunflower with Stickles and added clear Nuvo drops to the bear's eyes and nose for some cheerful sparkle.

So that sums up autumn card making for me! It is now time to get those Christmas cards done since December is sneaking up quickly.
